Donation of special needs equipment for "Project Cameroon"

It all started in March: We prepared 9 small activitiy chairs Nele and two small subine/upright standers Lasse to support "Project Cameroon". The aim of this project is to change the life of children suffering from epilepsy or other disabilities in a positive way.

Disabled children and children suffering from epilepsy are considered to be bewitched. "Project Cameroon" gives this children access to proper treatement and informs the population about various diseases clearly and easily to demistify these illnesses.

Our special needs equipment will make the everyday life of families having children suffering from epilepsy, physical or mental disabilities easier. The project staff will provide all donated chairs and standers to people living in a slum of Douala, the biggest city of Cameroon. They already measure the sizes of all children they care for. The container will arrive in Douala in the middle of July together with a team of German doctors, nursing staff and physiotherapists to perfectly adapt the equipment to the children and their needs.

To ensure that the families will keep their special needs equipment and return them to the organisation after they no longer need it, the organisation takes a sum of money as security. The families will get their money back when their children have grown out of the respective special needs equipment. This is how "Project Cameroon" makes sure that the children really benefit from Nele, Lasse und Co.
